Current mission

Fundacion También is a non-profit organization whose aim is the social integration of people with any physical, mental, intellectual or sensory disability, by means of tailoring sport to disabled people's needs, using it as a social integration tool. Implementing a system like this provides enjoyment and many important physical and mental benefits.
This pioneering project for adapting sport to disabled people’s needs was born in 2001, when Teresa Silva (founder and managing director of También Foundation), had a paragliding accident and, as a consequence, has used a wheelchair ever since. It was then when she realized the difficulties faced by disabled people in filling up their spare time with leisure activities.
